Day 1 (Mon) Depart North America

Fly via All Nippon Airways. Cross the international date line.

 Transfer to the airport for your flight to Beijing. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, RENAISSANCE OR PARK PLAZA HOTEL (B)

A full-day city tour today visits the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, the Temple of Heaven and Tiananmen Square. Tonight enjoy a Peking duck dinner. (B,L,D)                                                        

Day 4 (Thu) Beijing

Today you will visit the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. (B,L)

Day 5 (Fri) Beijing/Xian

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Xian. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel, GRAND MERCURE HOTEL (B,L)

Day 6 (Sat) Xian

Today's full-day tour includes the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the City Wall and the tomb of the Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di with its terra cotta army and bronze chariot (pictured below). Tonight enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and culture show. (B,L,D)

Day 7 (Sun) Xian/Chengdu              

Transfer to the airport for your flight Chengdu. Upon arrival, be met and transfer to the JINJIANG HOTEL. Afternoon sightseeing to the Panda Breeding Center (B,L,D)                                                                                          

Day 8 (Mon) Chengdu/Lhasa

Transfer to the airport for your early flight to Lhasa. Upon arrival, be met and transferred to your hotel, the LHASA HOTEL. Afternoon at rest to acclimatize to the altitude. (B,L,D)

Day 9 (Tue) Lhasa                    

Full day sightseeing includes the Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Square and the Summer Palace. (B,L,D)

Day 10 (Wed) Lhasa

Today's tour includes the Potala Palace, former home of the Dalai Lama and either the Drepung or Sera Monasteries. (B,L,D)

Day 11 (Thu) Lhasa/Chengdu/Chongqing

Transfer to the airport for your flight to Chengdu and proceed onto Chongqing. Sightseeing as time permits before boarding the ORIENT ROYAL CRUISE  SHIP for your Yangtze River tour.(B,L,D)

Day 12 (Fri) Cruise (Shibaozhai)
 

Today's shore excursion takes you to Shaibaozhai and pass thru the Wu and Qutang gorges. This evening enjoy the Captain's Welcome Dinner. (B,L,D)

Day 13 (Sat) Cruise (Shennong Stream)

A boat ride today on the crystal clear Shennong Stream and pass thru the Threee Gorges Dam ship locks (B,L,D)

Day 14 (Sun) Cruise (Three Gorges Dam Project), Suzhou

Today you will visit the site of the Three Gorges Dam. When completed, it will be the largest reservoir in the world. Transfer to the airport in Yichang for your flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, transfer by car to Suzhou. Check into the Nanlin Hotel. (B,L,D)

Day 15 (Mon) Suzhou/Shanghai

Morning tour of Suzhou includes the Garden of Harmony, Hanshen Temple and the National Embroidery Institute. Later, proceed to Shanghai stopping enroute in the town of Zhujiajiao with its' ancient bridges and gardens.  Upon arrival, check into your hotel, the JC MANDARIN. (B,L,D)

Day 16 (Tue) Shanghai

A full day tour takes you to the Old Town, Yu Yuan Garden, The Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple. Dinner at a local restaurant and an acrobat performance (B,L,D

Day 17 (Wed) Shanghai

Transfer to Shanghai airport for your flight home
