Day 1 (Fri) Depart North America
Fly via All Nippon
Airways. Cross the international date line.
Day 2 (Sat) Beijing
Upon arrival you
will be met and transferred to your hotel, RENAISSANCE
BEIJING HOTEL or PARK PLAZA HOTEL. (B)
Day 3 (Sun) Beijing
A full-day city tour
today visits the Forbidden City, Summer Palace, the Temple of
Heaven and Tiananmen Square. Tonight enjoy a Peking duck
dinner followed by the Beijing Opera. (B,L,D)
Day 4 (Mon) Beijing
 Today
you will visit the Great Wall and Ming Tombs. (B,L)
Day 5 (Tue) Beijing/Xian
Transfer to the airport for your
flight to Xian. Upon arrival you will be met and transferred
to your hotel, GRAND MERCURE HOTEL (B,L)
Day 6 (Wed) Xian
Today's full-day tour includes the
Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the City Wall and the tomb of the
Emperor Qin Shi Huang Di with its terra cotta army. Tonight
enjoy a Tang Dynasty dinner and culture show. (B,L,D)
Day 7 (Thu) Xian/Chonqing
Transfer to the airport for your
flight to Chongqing. Sightseeing as time permits before
boarding the ORIENT ROYAL CRUISE ship (B,L,D)
Day 8 (Fri) Cruise (Shibaozhai)
 Cruise
down the Yangtze today. Excursion to Shibaozhai, a gem of
Chinese Architecture. Pass through the Qutang and Wu
Gorges. This evening, enjoy the Captain's
Welcome Dinner. (B,L,D)
Day 9 (Sat) Cruise (Shennong
Stream)
Enjoy a boat ride on
the crystal clear Shennong Stream. Later pass through the
Xiling Gorfe and the site of the Three Gorges Dam Ship
Locks. (B,L,D)
Day 10 (Wed) Three
Gorges Dam Site/Suzhou
Visit the Three Gorges
Dam Project. After disembarking from the cruise
ship, transfer to the Yichang airport for your flight to Shanghai.
Upon arrival, transfer by Road to Suzhou and check into the
NANLIN HOTEL for one night. (B,L,D)
Day 11 (Thu) Suzhou/ Shanghai
A morning tour of Suzhou
includes the Garden of Harmony, Hanshan Temple, and the
National Embroidery Institute. Later proceed to Shanhai
stopping enroute to visit the town of Zhujiajiao with it's
ancient bridges and gardens. In Shanghai check into the
MANDARIN HOTEL for two nights. (B,L,D)
Day 12 (Fri) Shanghai/Guilin
A full day tour takes you to the Old
Town, Yu Yuan Garden, The Bund and the Jade Buddha Temple.
Dinner at a local restaurant. (B,L,D)
Day 13(Sat) Return home*
Transfer to the airport for your
overnight flight home.
*Passengers returning
to JFK/IAD will have an overnignt at Narita (Tokyo). Arrive home
the next day.
