Buddhist Pilgrimage in Nepal, 7 Days/6 nights Day 1   Kathmandu : Arrive Kathmandu airport. Meet, assist and transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 2   Kathmandu : Drive to Patan city to visit  Mahabudha "Temple of Thousan Buddhas", Himaya Vama Mahavihar- this monastery is also called golden temple and it's principal image is SAKYAMUNI Buddha. Afternoon  sightseeing includes Swyambhunath, Kimdol vihar, and Janabahal.  Continue on to Kimdol vihar-  which translates to the "vulture's beak " and. then visit  Janabahal-the temple of white Macchindernath, which stands in the heart of Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel. Day 3  Kathmandu : Drive Pharping (Yangetsho Monastery) 16km. from south Kathmandu it is said that the great teacher Padmasambhava of Guru Rinpoche attained mastery of Mahamudra, the ultimate and supreme attainment. There is cave where Guru Rinpoche meditated. Overnight at hotel. Day 4   Kathmandu : Drive to Namobuddha "Hail to Lord Buddha" it lies 30km. east of Kathmandu. According to legends, in his great compassion he cut pieces of flesh from his body to feed the tigress. At this place is a carved stone depicting the legends. Continue on to Boudhanath is one of the largest in the world. It is believed that the Boudha Stupa enshrines the spirit of the Boddhisatwa. Overnight at hotel. Day 5  Lumbini : Leave Kathmandu for Lumbini 250 km. South West from Kathmandu. Lumbini is the birth place of Lord Buddha, the apostle of peace and non-violence. Visit the broken Ashokan Pillar, remnants of an old monastery, images of Buddha's mother Maya Devi etc. are still preserved in Lumbini. Overnight at hotel. Day 6  Kathmandu : Drive or Fly back to Kathmandu. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel. Day 7  Airport transfer for your departure flight. Dates, costs, hotels to be announced.
